Evening advice
The centre runs an evening advice session every Monday evening between 6.30pm
and 8pm. These sessions provide one-off advice on basic legal issues in areas
of law that include housing, benefits, employment, consumer issues and small
claims.
This is provided by a scheme called LawWorks (see Resources for more details of the scheme), in which trainee
lawyers from legal firms (under the supervision of a qualified case worker)
volunteer their time to provide advice that the Law Centre would not normally
be able to advise on during our daytime service. Sessions are organised on
alternate Mondays between Housing advice and General / Employment advice. To
