Employment and Discrimination Law advice
The Law Centre helps and advises those with employment problems
or those discriminated against or harassed on any of the following
grounds: race, sex, disability, religion, age or sexual orientation.
For example, have you been harassed at work on any of the above grounds? Have
you been discriminated against at work by being:
-
dismissed;
-
refused a job, promotion or training; or
-
subjected to any other detriment (eg. disciplinary action, warning,
demotion)?
We can also provide advice on any aspect of employment law, including:
-
unfair dismissal;
-
redundancy;
-
wage disputes (eg. holiday pay, minimum wage, deduction of earnings);
-
maternity and paternity pay and leave.
Other areas where you might experience discrimination
We also provide advice to those who have been discriminated against in the provision of goods and services.
For example, have you been refused goods and services on the grounds of race, sex, disability, religion or sexual orientation? This applies to goods and services in several areas, including education, transport, leisure and finance.
Appointments
We offer daytime appointments for advice in employment or discrimination
law.
Evening sessions
Employment law advice sessions are held fortnightly on a Monday evening from
6.30pm. This is on a strictly first come-first served basis and you are advised
